Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was a natural athlete and developed a passion for sprinting in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her first tryout she came third in the 200 meters at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school having signed a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas before enrolling in the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. The youngest participant in the 200-meter race at the World Championships held in Helsinki in 2005. She won her medal once again in 2007, beating her time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked within the top three athletes at her particular events.
